So you may notice that the site looks broken. This is because I am in the middle of updating the layout and well the layout update isn’t going according to plan. I’ve worked on this layout all week long really and it’s html/css coded on testing phase. I figured hey it looks good now to implement it into Comicpress. I’d be really easy right? Well to my headaches and tired eyes, it’s not that easy to code a child theme of comic press to fit your own awesome look.
This is the first time I’ve gone through the Comicpress coding and holy shitface it’s a confusing mess. Surely the code is awesome in it’s own way but the why the hell does it look so disorganized. Well I can’t code my child theme the way I wanted to and customize it to it’s full extend so I have to open an HTML source on the Silver child theme and run through each CSS ID and CLASS and use those in the stylesheet. Sucks really at how this is how I have to make a child theme for Comicpress.
The reason I’m doing a child theme is because I didn’t save my custom CSS theme and I don’t remember what I did to screw that up but it was a while ago and I got ticked off that I made that little mistake of not backing it up before I changed some stuff to it. It’s a frustrating thing to go through but anywho, I just decided then to just make a child theme so that whenever there’s and update for ComicPress I won’t have to go through all that shitty trouble I went through, but tonight just isn’t the night for me to update the site with a new layout. So off for another week to fix up the child theme CSS that I was planning to use.
Yes a new layout is coming soon and updates will be coming shortly after the layout is done.
