I have installed a new forum system on to the site and it looks much much better than the last. As well it load a little bit faster I think. The forum though requires membership to post. This is just my paranoia because I’ve gotten so many spams years before now and it’s very annoying for me to go in and clear up the forum spam.
So to those that are using wordpress and wants to know what kind of forum I”m using it’s called Simplepress Forum. It’s an addon create for wordpress. So that’s something to look at if you are looking to add a forum to your site.
I’m also working on more sketches for the manga. But I think I’ve decided to get the next chapter of sketches done upload them and work on them that way. I am such a ditz though cause that’s leaving a huge space of not updating until the chapter is done. Which I shouldn’t have posted chapter 2 until I got the sketches down and did the toning and inking.
Well I’m sure for chapter 3 I will take a hiatus for like 2 weeks to get the pages sketched out really quickly. Also I think I’m the only person that has a 80 page chapter story >.> Every other comic/manga I read are only like 30 pages long. Chapter 2 is 64 pages long. Is that too much? I guess so.
Well off to more work.
I’m trying to hold off making new pages until I get my replacements pen nibs for my graphire pen tablet. I can see that the nib is a bit worn down. So the next pages won’t be up til I get them. I went on a frenzied rampage looking for replacement nibs because I don’t want to buy another tablet unless it’s a Cintiq or a big Intuos. So I searched and searched and took me a while to navigate through wacom site to actually find nibs that are good replacements for my pen.
The Graphire seems to be discontinued or rather has been renamed the Bamboo. I’m not too fond of the Bamboo and I have no idea why. I look at it and I just can’t get myself to yearn for it as I did for my Graphire. It’s kinda frustrating but at least I know they still have replacement nibs. And if those nibs don’t work well I guess I blew 5 bucks for them. That could’ve been a months worth of Ramen Noodles man.
So anyway to any of the artist out there that hasn’t let go of their Graphire tablets and wants to find replacement nibs for them I’ll post the link to them when I can. It’s 12 in the morning and I don’t want to search Wacom’s site again.
I spent quite a while longer on this than expected and in the end I am still not satisfied. I have worked on this this morning and looking at it now I think I have to do some different technique in toning this. I might have to play with masking again.
